On May 1, the 100th anniversary of Nanchang University, the founding meeting of Jiangxi Alumni Association of School of Materials Science and Engineering was held in the material building B101 of the alma mater.

The Assembly deliberated and approved the Constitution of Jiangxi Alumni Association of School of Materials Science and Engineering of Nanchang University, nominated candidates for the Council, and elected the first Council of Jiangxi Alumni Association of School of Materials Science and Engineering of Nanchang University, with Shu Xiaomin, an alumnus of Grade 97, as the president. The newly elected President Shu Xiaomin thanked her alma mater for her careful training, thanked the leaders, teachers and alumni for their trust, and said that he would actively promote the cooperation between alumni and his alma mater in production, learning and research, promote the output of scientific research achievements and the industrialization of scientific research achievements, contribute his own strength to the economic development of Jiangxi, establish a good image of the alumni association, and add luster to his alma mater.
